"The European Academy of Yuste consists of 34 most illustrious artists, scholars, intellectuals from many member countries of the European Union. The members agreed that there should be a program for secondary school students on European civilization. Such a program should not be the same for everyone, and it should not consist of a fixed list of historical persons, great events and important inventions. On the contrary, students and teachers in every member state should be invited to go and find out how their country or region participated in the great exchange of European civilization.
